Ozone Action Days

Here in #Texas, we’ve had a significant number of days where we’ve seen triple-digit temperatures. In our hometown of #Austin alone we most recently saw 14 consecutive days of triple-digit heat, breaking many long-lasting records.
High temperatures, low wind speeds, and lots of sunshine to spur photochemical reactions leads to higher levels of ground-level ozone, which is hard on our lungs and plant life.
#OzoneActionDays are forecasted by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality a day in advance when conditions will be ideal to create an unhealthy condition, and encourages Texans to be proactive to limit activities that lead to the creation of ground-level ozone.
